texture knit 1

During this project, I explored tactile interactions by creating 3D textures that transform through movement, strengthening the connection between textiles and the user. I investigated the relationship between form and play, allowing textiles to change shape and appearance.

Using the slipped stitch technique on a SilverReed machine, I developed a waved bubble pattern that changes pattern when pushed. I combined cotton and elastic yarns to create a thick, stretchy fabric. Through material experiments and stitch adjustments, I refined the bubbles and ripples to balance structure and playfulness.
