mark it down

For this project MARKITDOWN I painted the floor. I wanted to join MARKITDOWN because it was something that I never did before and I wanted to challenge myself. I usually make things 3D and now it needed to be 2D. I also never worked this big, so I really went out of my comfort zone. 

The thing I liked the most about MARKITDOWN is that they create opportunities for upcoming artists. You can make a painting without having to pay for the paint and you immediately have a place where you can exhibit your work. 

Another thing that I think is great about this project is that you can look at the separate pieces from different artists, but together it also becomes one big piece. The spaces in-between the different artworks are more quiet, so the pieces don’t distract from each other and this way all the artworks complement each other.
