about
I am a textile designer with a passion for material exploration, sustainability, and craftsmanship. I studied product design at Willem de Kooning Academy and am currently doing a Masterʼs in Textile Interaction Design at the Swedish School of Textiles with a specialization in knitting.
My work floats between art and design, where the process itself is just as important as the final outcome. Through experimentation and material research, I explore traditional and unconventional materials, often treating non- textile elements as fabric. These fabrics develop into three- dimensional forms as I make a contruction out of them, they often have small details, rhythms and elements that are movable. Inspired by shapes from the nature, I find answers in material properties, leading to diverse projects with an innovative and solution-based approach.
My recent work explores how design influences human perception and behavior by examining interactions between people and objects. I take inspiration from cognitive psychology and human-centered design. By using playfulness and unexpected user-object interactions, I want to make people aware of how we engage with our surroundings to do this i use contrast, perception and senses.
Sustainability is important to me, using upcycling and durable, environmentally responsible materials. Micro-production, allows me to minimize waste and maintain control over the production process. I value the uniqueness of handcrafted work, ensuring that each piece has its own character and story.
I want to push the boundaries of textile design, transforming materials into dynamic, interactive elements that change through use.
